DESCRIPTION
Fragments of an Imposed Identity is a virtual exhibition of contemporary jewelry by the Peruvian artist Vacide Erda Zimic. Through necklaces, pendants and wearable objects, the exhibition explores how pre-Columbian geometric languages can be reinterpreted within contemporary artistic jewelry. Rather than reproducing archaeological motifs, the works transform ancestral visual structures into modular compositions that question memory, cultural heritage, and identity. Combining felt, metal and hand embroidery, the collection reflects on the persistence of cultural codes and the relationship between the body and historical memory. The exhibition presents the creative process, the references, and the complete collection, inviting visitors to experience jewelry as a sculptural and conceptual language.
